ABOUT THE TEACHERS

Tad Merrell has had an enthusiasm for movement since he was a child. Inspired by superheroes like the Ninja Turtles and Batman, he has been climbing, jumping, and flying on everything everywhere. He has studied circus arts extensively including lyra, static trapeze, and acro. Tad has performed across the west coast of the US, and taught acro workshops all over the country. In 2017, he performed with the acro army in Paris and Las Vegas as a member of the Acro Army (choreographed by 2x sports acro world champion Arthur Davis). He also is an Acro Revolution certified instructor and went on to assist in training other teachers through that program.

Hannah Paige (also known as Coach Hannah to the Tula kids) had handstands set in her bones as a child. She started gymnastics at age 4 and competed until her teens. She discovered partner acro in her 20s and eventually performed with Arkansas Circus Arts as an acrobat and contortionist. Hannah has taught acro, handstands, yoga, and coached recreational and competitive gymnastics. Empowering others to safely find joy in their movement and body is one of her greatest joys. After taking a break to manage her health and have a little one, Hannah has come out of handstand teaching retirement and is excited to share her love of the art. She has completed teacher trainings through Acro Revolution, AcroYoga International, and Circle Yoga Shala (200 RYT) and studied handstands with Jean Luc Martin of the San Diego Circus Center.
